ArtemiS and NVH
Basics of NVH Analysis, Code 95000 (COMING SOON!)
This course will go over basic noise and vibration analysis concepts that are used regularly by test and development engineers. With the assumption that valid data has already been collected, the first-level sound and vibration analysis terms and some properties will be reviewed. The differences between some settings, and the limitations of the analyses, will also be shown.
Target Group: This seminar is aimed at newcomers who want to understand the capabilities and uses – the “whys” -- of working with sound, vibration, perception, and potentially with ArtemiS SUITE.

Introduction to ArtemiS SUITE, Code 95010 (English) (Spanish Translation)
The HEAD acoustics Intro to ArtemiS SUITE course is a self-paced guide through the fundamentals of ArtemiS SUITE, a powerful tool for analyzing acoustic and vibration data. You'll be shown real-time examples of how to navigate the user interface and dive right into our analysis features, alongside helpful examples to check your understanding.
Target Group: This seminar is aimed at those new to the field of sound, sound quality and vibration analysis, AND to those with greater engineering familiarity but unacquainted with the power, logic, use-efficiency and flexibility of ArtemiS SUITE.
Prerequisite: Basic knowledge about data acquisition and fundamentals of acoustics and vibration is an advantage.
Duration: 1.5 hours - split into 13 parts.
ArtemiS in Detail, Code 95020 (English) (Spanish Translation)
This seminar develops the use of ArtemiS SUITE as an analytical extension of human perception for sound quality and vibration analysis in both an acoustic and a multichannel acoustic-plus-vibration context.
It includes how to select and apply conventional, psychoacoustic, and advanced psychoacoustic metrics, vs. time, RPM or other reference quantities; and how to recognize needs for multiple simultaneous analyses to relate and quantify perceptually-important phenomena, which in technical sound situations is most of the time.
Target Group: The seminar addresses users who already have some experience with ArtemiS SUITE.
Prerequisites: Basic knowledge in using ArtemiS SUITE. Beginners are advised to visit the training course Introduction to ArtemiS SUITE.

Introduction to ArtemiS SUITE Recorder, Code 95040 (English) (Spanish Translation)
At the very beginning, when recording noises and vibrations, the possibilities and limits for subsequent processing and analysis are defined.
This training course will highlight the areas relevant to data collection, from the sound field to the selection and conditioning of suitable sensors and front-ends, to the efficient use of the recording software and the documentation of the recordings.
Target Group: Newcomers from other disciplines and those looking to refresh existing knowledge.
Prerequisites: None, basic familiarity with ArtemiS SUITE, or familiarity with HEAD Recorder.

This seminar develops the use of ArtemiS SUITE as a data acquisition and interactive signal processing/analysis system for applications in electric powertrain designs, analyses and their perceptual implications.

Modal Analysis with ArtemiS SUITE, Code 95400 (English) (Spanish Translation)
This course provides the basics of performing modal analysis via the family of structural analysis modules in ArtemiS SUITE (ASM40, 41, 42, 43). After a very brief review of theory, the course focuses on data acquisition for modal analysis using the Impact Measurement workflow, curve fitting, and shape investigation. The mode shape comparison feature and the Operating Deflection Shape (ODS) and Time Domain Animation Project will also be reviewed.
Target Group: Existing ArtemiS SUITE customers who have a basic understanding of structural analysis, or those new to ArtemiS SUITE but not new to structural analysis.
Prerequisites: Introduction to ArtemiS SUITE or similar; previous familiarity with structural analysis, especially impact testing.

Sound Quality: How to Listen and Analyze, Code 95300 (English)
Was that a buzz or rattle, a squeak, or a squawk? Was it gentle air in trees? Why the same dB? And, how do you communicate these perception-related qualities to someone that may need to hear or understand them? How do you measure the complications and variations on graphs, or when comparing two products, or verifying improvement? These are some of the challenges sound quality analysts and investigators face. Learn how to listen, identify, analyze and communicate about sound quality with this online, on-demand course.
Target Group: Anyone interested in sharpening their critical listening skills.
Prerequisites: None, although basic familiarity with ArtemiS SUITE is preferred.

Sound Quality Analyst - Level 1, Code 95310 (English)
The class offers a foundational understanding of sound quality engineering, highlighting the differences from classical acoustics, and focuses on human perception of sound. Students will learn about sound analysis techniques and the relevance of psychoacoustics in sound engineering. The course is designed to provide a broad overview of how sound is experienced and measured, equipping students with the skills to evaluate and engineer sound quality effectively.

Sound Quality Analyst - Level 2, Code 95320 (English)
Level 2 delves into more aspects of the complex human hearing process. Why are some sounds received better than others? When are two or more analyses necessary to differentiate sounds? How are sounds with many related tonal characteristics best measured?

Sound Quality Analyst - Level 3, Code 95320 (English)
Level 3 concludes the Sound Quality Analyst Certification series. The most-detailed analyses and reasons for them are presented and discussed, with key features and properties specified depending on the sound environment or circumstance. Advanced psychoacoustics are offered, further linking perceived characteristics to the graphical data.
Target Group: Anyone interested in sharpening their critical listening skills.
